CLUSTEC

Scalable Continuous Variable Cluster State Quantum Technologies

Quantum Lab

A new path towards scalable quantum technologies

CLUSTEC is a groundbreaking EU Horizon Europe initiative to unlock the potential of optical cluster states for scalable quantum technologies. While quantum computing is evolving rapidly, scalability remains a key hurdle. CLUSTEC is adressing the key challenges.

Vision

To build a universal, fault-tolerant and network compatible quantum computer based on continuous variable (CV) cluster state technology.

Project goal

To address fundamental questions associated with scalability, computational universality, quantum error-correction, and quantum advantage certification.

Unique expertise

CLUSTEC is supported by an international consortium of quantum technologists, photonic integrators, mathematicians, computer scientists and quantum information theorists.

First-time demonstration

CLUSTEC aims to demonstrate the critical steps towards CV quantum computing and quantum networking, exhibiting clear potentials for significant upscaling and fault-tolerance.

Consortium

CLUSTEC combines unique expertise in both, theoretical and experimental aspects of cluster state technology. With partners from Germany, France, Switzerland, Czech Republic, and Denmark, the project brings together leading researchers and industry partners to drive significant advancements the field.
